Jubilee Shalom Duggar
December 11th, 2011
There is no foot too small
that it cannot leave an
imprint on this WORLD
“We discovered during a routine 19-week ultrasound that our 20th child, who was due in April 2012, passed away around 18 weeks gestation.
As our whole family is grieving, we also know that God promises to work all things for good in our lives. We rest in knowing that, even though our child has departed this life, we will one day see each other again in heaven.
On behalf of the whole Duggar Family we would like to thank everyone for their prayers, emails, and outpouring of love.”

Jubilee Shalom means “Joyful Celebration of Peace”
Through our grief, we were encouraged to choose a symbol to represent our baby. We chose the butterfly. I wear a butterfly necklace with the inscription on the back that says, “In motherhood love takes flight”.
We were also given a beautiful blanket with Jubilee’s name on it, as well as many other beautiful keepsakes! Jubilee is a part of our family and we miss her dearly.
We do not grieve as those who have no hope. We know that we will see her again someday! The following verses in the Bible have been a comfort to our family. He [King David] answered, “While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, ‘Who can tell whether GOD will be gracious to me, that the child may live?’ But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.” 2 Sam. 12:22-23
These resources were a great encouragement to our family:

Listen to I Will Carry You
As I have grieved over the loss of Jubilee and all the hopes and dreams that I had for her life, the song “I Will Carry You” by Selah, has helped me tremendously. It is a beautiful song from a mother’s heart directed to the LORD and to her baby girl. As I’ve listened to this song and cried out to GOD, it has helped me to heal as I move on in this life.
When You Miscarry – Dr. SM Davis
I’m so thankful for this message! During the three days that I was in labor before Jubilee’s birth, I listened to this message over and over and was given encouragement and practical help to prepare for her funeral/memorial service.
